NEIT Whiskey’s latest chapter, Behind the Veil, turns the lens inward, offering a meditative exploration of Los Angeles through the architecture of John Lautner and the voices of three Angeleno creators. Part short film, part atmospheric portrait, the project expands on NEIT’s evolving theme of In Good Company—this time framed by glass, concrete, and the soft distortion of canyon light.

Set within one of Lautner’s most iconic homes, Behind the Veil features three creatives —each reflecting on their personal relationship to the city. More than an interview or a portrait, each monologue becomes a meditation. The house, with its fluid lines and open vistas, acts not only as backdrop but as a psychological frame—a space where public image slips into private thought.

Conceived by the team at BRAVO Studio and directed by Jackie Radinsky, the piece unfolds slowly, letting the architecture guide the pacing. Windows become mirrors. Rooms become thresholds. From this space, the city is not a skyline but a feeling.

In Los Angeles, “good company” is something more elusive. It happens in passing glances, in late-afternoon light, in silence. Behind the Veil captures this ambient intimacy, suggesting that company isn’t always about presence—it’s about resonance.
